Bouré Bicycle Clothing
Cycling Clothing for Long Lasting Comfort
Designed, Tested & Sewn in Durango, Colorado USA

Dear Boure Newsletter Reader,

This is our 31st Bouré Newsletter - Bikes and Love 2009. As thoughts turn to love and imminent good riding weather, we wanted to send our version of a belated Valentine greetings and thoughts of what we love. Cyclists are a quirky bunch with a time consuming habit. We have many a good and possibly compelling reason, but face it, it takes a lot of patience from the ones we love. Our loved ones should be doted on endlessly for their ability to, at a minimum, put up with, and more likely, encourage and join us in our sane love of all things cycling.

Please take the time to appropriately reward your loved one for their patience with your bike habit this year (sure, after you get a ride in). It just might be the main reason you are able to ride next year and into the future. So, put aside that delusional reality that your being out on the roads for so many hours each week just might be the reason your relationship has lasted as long as it has and show your sweetie as much affection as you would a brand new carbon fiber 11-speed gruppo!

Bike News
Unless you've recently recovered from a multi-month coma (welcome back!) you are probably aware that a mighty federal stimulus package has been enacted to repair some of the effects of mortgage brokers, car makers and securities traders who under their own form of coma were seemingly able to severely damage the national economy. As a part of that stimulus package, some $46 billion (est) will be spent on transportation over the next few years. While the initial portion of that stimulus package requires that projects be put to bid within a short time frame, there will be funds spent over the next couple of years on transportation. If you would like to see bicycles, pedestrians or other non-motorized users better integrated into the national transportation system, now is the time to rise to action. Become involved with some of the many advocacy groups on hese subjects and help make sure your local and the national communities become better places to ride, walk or simply not use a car. Let's work together to make sure pictures like the one of the left are not the heritage we leave our kid's or our kid's kids.
